This post includes journal prompts for each Human Design Type. And while putting pen to paper and letting your innermost thoughts flow freely is such a powerful tool for reflection, that’s not the only way to reveal how you truly feel. Responding to a prompt can mean just about anything: ask your type-specific questions and sit in silence if that’s more your style. Or, record a voice note with your answer, stopping when you have nothing left to say. Other people might want to talk it through with someone else for deeper clarity. The point is that some of us tend to write off (sorry, had to) journal prompts – when really, it’s the prompts themselves that lead us down this fantastic journey of self-discovery.
In the Human Design Types post, I discussed an ideal world, where everybody strived to follow their Strategy and how that might lead to more ease and flow in life. Now, let’s flip the switch: a Manifestor, with their incredible creative energy, goes ahead and initiates whatever they’re thinking without informing anyone – they impose a new initiative or project without effectively communicating. This leads to a Generator or Manifesting Generator taking on a project without the proper discernment. Since they’re working towards something they’re not lit up by, the energy they have to see it through is incredibly low, to the point where the task at hand becomes draining for them. A Projector comes along to offer their insightful guidance, but doesn’t realize that now is not the right time or place – so an already depleted Generator or Manifesting Generator does not have additional energy to provide to the Projector, leaving the Projector feeling undervalued. Then a Reflector comes along and senses the disarray – they sense that no one is living according to their design and that this new creation came from a place of conditioning and unease; without heart and passion.
So what’s the outcome here? The Manifestor feels angry because of the resistance they felt from not informing others of what they were initiating, the Generator and Manifesting Generator feel frustration because they said yes to something they didn’t want to do, the Projector senses bitterness for not feeling recognized and valued, and the Reflector is disappointed with how it all turned out.
Check out your Type’s Strategy (Manifestor Strategy, Generator & Manifesting Generator Strategy, Projector Strategy, Reflector Strategy) to keep the experiment going!
