Human Design Root Center
In your Bodygraph (chart), your Human Design Root Center will either be defined, or undefined/open. View your chart here and see below to learn how this theme shows up in your life!
Defined Root Center
When it comes to working with your definition, there will always be a sense of polarity you’re dealing with. Although the energy is reliable and consistent for you, it does not mean it will always be used in the most supportive way. For example: let’s say you have gate 39 defined – the Gate of Provocation. This gate is the pressure to find the spirit and passion in life. This pressure can be healthy, provoking us to find spirit and meaning in the smallest of things. Take this too far, and that pressure evolves into a constant search for passion and meaning that can take you away from everyday living. The key is to recognize the point where the gifts of these centers and gates are working for you – this provides a sense of grounding and stability in life.

Undefined or Open Root Center
Working with an undefined or open center requires you to release any expectations around the theme of that center. We often feel these areas are ‘lacking’ within us, but that is far from the truth. You are designed to embrace the spectrum of this energy, but you do not need to identify with it. It’s key to understand that an undefined or open center is a filter: allowing you to take in, experience, and discern what is truly meant for you – all accomplished by following your strategy and authority.
