When you find yourself defaulting to your Not-Self theme, this clearly indicates that you’re not following your Strategy. But let’s say you’re doing everything you can to follow your Strategy (informing, waiting to respond, waiting for an invitation, or waiting a lunar cycle) and it’s just not clicking. If this is the case, you may be making decisions based on your open centers. Until the conditioning (the stories we tell ourselves) is removed from those open centers, your decisions can be based on what you’re trying to prove, how you can attract attention, and so on. All of this is to say that your decisions are not coming from your right place: your Inner Authority.
If you feel like you’ve been doing a great job following your Strategy and you’re still experiencing your Not-Self theme of Anger, Frustration, Bitterness, or Disappointment, review your open centers (get your chart) and match them to the open centers below to see if they’ve been overshadowing your Inner Authority.
Decision-Making from Your Open Centers:
What Does This Look Like?
Take a moment to reflect on a past decision that didn’t go as planned. Did any of your open centers influence this decision?
Understanding the key themes around your open centers will be incredibly helpful in seeing how they may have been dictating your decision-making process throughout your life. It may finally shed light on how you’ve been behaving as your Not-Self. And always remember that your Not-Self is a guidepost and a wise teacher in its own right – this is not something to suppress or feel shameful about.
